Monsieur Doumani. Wed 8 Apr 2026. Club Nine. The Cypriot trio Monsieur Doumani plays traditional folk from the Eastern Mediterranean with a modern twist of psychedelia and electronics. Although they are only three, Monsieur Doumani makes noise for six on stage by adding electronic effects and a loop station to their basic instrumentation (tzouras, trombone and acoustic guitar). That Monsieur Doumani is completely of the now is shown on their latest album Pissourin (2021), on which tzouras player Antonis Antoniou electrified his instrument.
