Under the motto "everything has been done before, just not by me," singer Simone Roerade is n't looking for a new style, but sings her songs straight from the heart. Soulful, jazzy, and sometimes sensitive, with a raw edge.

In the 1990s, she toured the world with Candy Dulfer , scored a number one hit in Spain with her band Hips, and sang with many well-known artists both at home and abroad. In the smaller lineup she now plays with, there's even more room for Simone's powerful voice, as well as for a jazzy Fender Rhodes solo and a deep, grooving rhythm section.

Energy, that's what Mrs Hips' music is all about. Energy that's generated on stage and carries right over to the audience!

In July 2025, Mrs Hips released her third album on CD and vinyl. The new songs will be performed live, and you can buy the limited edition record or CD at the show.
