Muchmo & Kenzo Kusuda

For many years De Ruimte hosted the marvellous Impro Jam series: a meeting point to explore free improvisation and experimental music through collaboration, curiosity, and spontaneous music-making. Initiated in 2014 by saxophonist Ada Rave, each event starts with an initial group of artists, then other musicians are welcome to join with their instrument and jam on stage!

We’re happy to announce that we’ll host together with Ada Rave a new nomadic season of Impro Jams, touching base in different venues in Amsterdam and Utrecht. This evening at the BIMHUIS cafe is the third one.

KENZO KUSUDA – Amsterdam-based Japanese choreographer / dancer Kenzo Kusuda is a very active force in the Amsterdam (improv) dance scene and beyond. Kusuda takes the audience to a world filled with imagination. Simply with the body’s movement on an almost empty stage, he reveals the poetry of the dancing body in a personal and often breathtakingly intense manner.
