Qawwali, World music

Experience a rare and intense Qawwali concert by Fanna-Fi-Allah, which brings the ancient Sufi tradition to life in its purest form.

Now in their 26th year of international touring, Fanna-Fi-Allah is one of the world's leading traditional Qawwali ensembles. With thousands of performances in over 50 countries, they bring the living music of Sufi shrines to a global audience, offering a rare and profound introduction to this devotional musical style.

Led by Tahir Qawwal , and supported by a masterful ensemble of tabla, harmonium, and harmonies, the group remains firmly rooted in the classical Qawwali tradition. Free from electronics, crossovers, or pop influences, the music serves spiritual transmission and concentration.

Each performance is an intense and soulful ritual, featuring poetry by Sufi saints like Amir Khusrau and Baba Farid , carried by powerful rhythms, rhythmic handclapping, and trance-inducing cycles. The atmosphere is enhanced by swirling Sufi dance and a collective, ecstatic energy that transcends language and background. Although this music stems from the Sufi Islamic tradition, it invites everyone into a shared space of stillness, unity, and devotion.

For those unfamiliar with Qawwali, this is a special opportunity to experience this centuries-old tradition in its purest form. For regular listeners, it's a continuation of Fanna-Fi-Allah's dedication to preserving and sharing this sacred music with respect and power.
