Nathan Evans is a Scottish singer-songwriter and former postman from Airdrie, who became world famous for his interpretations of traditional sea songs, also called sea shanties. In 2020 he broke through on TikTok with his version of 'Wellerman', an old New Zealand whalers' song. His energetic, multi-voiced performance went viral and caused a worldwide revival of the genre. Shortly afterwards Evans signed a record contract with Universal Music and released a studio version of 'Wellerman', which reached the charts in several countries, including a number 1 position in the United Kingdom, Germany and the Netherlands.

Since then Nathan Evans has further developed his musical career with original songs and modern folk influences, together with 'The Saint PHNX Band' which forms his faithful backing band. His music often combines traditional themes with pop and acoustic elements, creating a fresh and at the same time recognizable sound.
