It all began in 1993 at Amsterdam's Soul Kitchen, when Benjamin Herman and DJ Graham B shared the stage. This unique combination led to New Cool Collective, a band that has since performed countless shows worldwide. The 19-piece big band creates a danceable blend of jazz, soul, cumbia, and African music. New Cool Collective won an Edison Award for their album with Senegalese saxophonist Thierno Koité and recently celebrated their 30th anniversary in a sold-out Paradiso. Following a special evening at the Concertgebouw with Kymara and Nana Adjoa, their new live album, "On Tour," was released. The band comprises musicians from diverse backgrounds. And all these styles are reflected in their energetic, unique sound, which they will showcase once again tonight in the Main Hall.
