Which artists did you see shine before they dominated the charts and arenas? Nieuwe Oogst presents promising Dutch pop acts shaping the future of the pop scene. On Friday, May 1st, we'll do just that with Newārk and Säm Wilder – two creators who are single-handedly building their own universes.

Newārk started out at the piano, but found his true home in the world he could create on his laptop. He and his band have since played over a hundred festivals and become an online cult favorite with the Newkār Sessions : intimate live car sessions with artists like Naomi Sharon and Neema Nekesa. His debut, Flowers That Don't Exist , was called a "movie for your ears"; on his new EP, Walkman, You're Gone Too Fast, he blends jazzy hip-hop, pop, and indie into a cinematic, personal live show.

Säm Wilder blends pop, R&B, soul, and indie into warm, emotional songs that linger. His upcoming album SUPERNOVA revolves around love, growth, and new beginnings, with accompanying videos that together form a short film. After Popronde shows, support tracks, and a string of highly streamed singles, he's ready for the next step.
