Nitzer Ebb
(Support: SIIE).
The English EBM and industrial band Nitzer Ebb broke through in the 1980s with music like a construction site: hard, minimalist and repetitive. We can now add the qualification 'timeless' to that, because songs like Join The Chant, Murderous and Let Your Body Learn — all from their debut album That Total Age (1987) — still sound as urgent as they did then. Singer Douglas McCarthy has unfortunately recently passed away, but Nitzer Ebb continues — now with co-founder Bon Harris on vocals. During the European shows of this tour former Front 242 drummer Tim Kroker joins as reinforcement.
