Swedish band Oh Hiroshima brings their melodic post-rock to Patronaat on Friday, October 24, with Barrens as support. This tour coincides with the release of their new album 'And the Dead Tree Gives No Shelter', on which their characteristic build-up of tension and dynamics are further explored.
Since their debut in 2011, Jakob Hemström and Oskar Nilsson have been developing their sound within the post-rock genre step by step. What began with more traditional influences is evolving into a richer and more layered sound, with a greater emphasis on texture, contrast, and emotional impact. With multiple well-received releases and a solid live reputation, the duo has by now clearly established themselves within the European post-rock scene. On 'And the Dead Tree Gives No Shelter', that development comes together in an album that was explicitly written with the stage in mind.
