Opeth - Swedish metal band | The Last Will And Testament tour.

The Swedish metal band Opeth has been active for 35 years and shows no sign of metal fatigue. This is partly because they do not limit themselves to a single genre: Opeth started as a death metal band with prog influences, but made a complete switch to prog rock with the album Damnation (2003). The fact that frontman Mikael Åkerfeldt can just as easily sing clean vocals as he can growl was useful in that transition. In 2024 their fourteenth album The Last Will And Testament was released, an ambitious and dark concept record on which Opeth rises above themselves both lyrically and musically.
