A super-popular anime soundtrack, a tour with Bring Me The Horizon and Deftones… Paledusk is now a household name. This young Japanese metal band is experiencing its absolute breakthrough this year. After supporting One OK Rock at AFAS Live, they'll be hitting De Helling on May 26th for their first Dutch headline show. And they'll be doing it with a nightliner packed with awesome Japanese bands and a brand new album under their belt.
And what a release! Paledusk's new, self-titled album took a full ten years (!) to make. And it shows. Their chaotic, genre-bending sound is layered and thoughtful, drawing on countless influences: from heavy metalcore to hardcore, dance, and hip-hop. In their own words: "a completely new form of rock." And who can blame them?
After a collaboration with Babymetal and Lil' Uzi Vert and the soundtrack for the hit series Gachiakuta, this seems to be their next step towards J-rock stardom. Come check them out before they get even bigger!
SUPPORT
KNOSIS is the brainchild of Ryo Kinoshita, a Japanese multi-instrumentalist and vocalist who uses his music as an outlet for a heavy inner struggle. Knosis captures the pure emotional essence of loneliness and pain, then pours a torrent of filthy metal riffs and hardcore breakdowns over it. What remains is a hurricane of emotion that rips through our venue at top speed.
In addition to KNOSIS, Paledusk also takes Greyhaven (USA) and Headwreck (AUS) with it.
