That the (relatively) young American roots artist Parker Millsap has an old soul can be heard after a few notes of any of his songs. Perhaps that also explains the casual self-confidence with which he stands on stage, an attitude that sometimes resembles a young Elvis Presley. With his infectious mix of blues, folk, rock and country, Millsap has so far released six albums, of which Wilderness Within You (2023) is the most recent (the title track is a beautiful duet with the great Gillian Welch).
