Rebe is a lost doll who, when pressed, unleashes whispers, screams, and chords that have sounded a thousand times within the tradition of Spanish song. According to her, she was born after love and just before passion. Perhaps that explains why her ballads possess an unprecedented eroticism.
At the same time, the nuances of her sound and the way she layers arrangements until the original pop song structure becomes almost unrecognizable make it difficult to pigeonhole her into a single genre. Rebe tells little legends about herself: theatrical love stories that are sweet, bitter, ridiculous, passionate, and catastrophic, but never unbelievable, simply because she herself plays the leading role.
As a doll, she's actually deceptive. Once she has your attention, she's the one playing with you. It seems like she's only looking in the mirror, but meanwhile, she seduces, irritates, pleads, and subtly mocks everyone who watches her while she looks at herself.
