Combining the melodic hooks of 80s pop with the rhythmic pulse of disco and the guitar and synth interplay of 00s rock, RETROFILE burst onto the alternative music scene in 2017 with their debut single "Two Words." Recorded in the makeshift studio of twin brothers Luke and Noah Martino, the single unexpectedly became a word-of-mouth sensation, racking up hundreds of thousands of streams within months and launching their career.

In 2019, fueled by a string of sold-out shows and a growing fanbase, RETROFILE released their debut EP, Heard It All Before. This EP spawned two successful singles and solidified their sound and image with a blend of new wave and modern pop sensibilities. Although the pandemic temporarily halted their live plans, the brothers used the period to write and perfect new material for their next EP, Lost In Sound (out September 14, 2023).

RETROFILE was selected as a showcase act for Canadian Music Week 2023 and toured the UK and Western Canada to promote Lost In Sound. Their debut album, Comfort In A Crowd, will be released in October 2025.
