Zwolle rapper "Phreako" Rico broke through in the early 2000s with the legendary band Opgezwolle, along with Sticky Steez and producer Delic. A year after releasing the best Dutch-language hip-hop album of all time (Eigen Wereld) in 2006, Opgezwolle called it quits. Rico went on to make many albums with Sticky Steez, but also made a name for himself solo with Rated R (2021) and the world's first family hip-hop album Frenk De Slak (2023). His new album, "Rico," will be released in April, on which the rapper explores himself under the motto "I never knew you / I want to know who you are!"
