Turbulent times call for turbulent music. It's likely no one's mistake that social unrest is one of the drivers of the new wave of punk bands using their music as an outlet for their frustration and anger.

London-based RIFLE is one such band, following in the wake of their compatriots The Chisel & Bad Breedinf: pissed off, angry & urgent. After a few singles, their first self-titled full-length was released in early 2026 and, in our opinion, is one of the very best contemporary punk releases (just listen!). RIFLE also kicks ass live, as evidenced by their impressive shows in their hometown of London and at the recent Rebellon Festival.
