The eight-piece Highlife band, founded in 2022 by Rim Akandoh Jr., draws inspiration from Ghana's rich musical history. They have been performing throughout Ghana for some time and recently released their debut studio album, "Man Shall Be Free" (Afro Urban Project, 2025). In April 2026, the band will embark on their first international European tour. Their music combines the guitar-driven style of 1970s Highlife with Afro-funk influences. The band's sound is energetic, multi-layered, and captivating, inviting you to dance. Their background in performance and storytelling gives each song its own character and meaning.
