The name of the L.A. band Rocket says it all about their explosive energy. In their shoegaze-infused indie rock, jagged guitars collide with mesmerizing vocals, while stripped-down verses laced with hardcore riffs slowly build tension before erupting into euphoric choruses. Their dynamic interplay of soft and subtle, and raw and loud, feels both vivid and unpolished, recalling Sonic Youth and Dinosaur Jr., yet reimagined in a style that perfectly resonates with the Gen Z era. Their debut EP Versions of You (2023) feels like a time capsule—a soundtrack to the turbulent transition from late teens to early twenties. Through out 2025, the band had already released five singles, hinting at a forthcoming album. Excitement is high, and we can’t wait to see just how far this rocket will soar.
