RONKER.
Since their formation, RONKER has mostly been on the road, building an audience in the most old-fashioned way: by playing live. Their debut album 'Fear Is a Funny Thing, Now Smile Like a Big Boy' was well received; journalists praised both the band's crossover antics and their courage to test the limits of standard-tuned guitars, without the music losing accessibility. On the second album RONKER sounds more ambitious than ever. It is a concept album about coping mechanisms and the antics of a rock-'n'-roll lifestyle. The band presents a layered and refined sound that is influenced as much by David Bowie & the Spiders from Mars as by Refused and Slayer. Still aggressive, but with an old-school approach to songwriting, big choruses and even bigger riffs.
