This Beautiful Mess's debut album turns twenty-five in 2026. 'Falling On Deaf Ears' put the band from Zeeland on the international map. The record was released in 2001 by Sally Forth Records/Sony Music in the Benelux. Deep Elm Records released the record in the USA, Canada, and Japan.
To celebrate this anniversary, This Beautiful Mess is releasing their debut on vinyl for the first time in collaboration with Sally Forth Records. Remastered and featuring special artwork. The first single, 'Clean', became a modest radio hit and the band received airplay on 3FM and Kink FM. This led the band to perform at festivals such as Lowlands, Noorderslag, Eurosonic, and Crossing Border. They played throughout Europe. In 2021, This Beautiful Mess relaunched with the EP 'Second Mountain Songs', and last year the 5th album, 'the Soft Powers', was released. The set will be a mix of old and new work.
The festive spirit of this re-release is made complete at this unique old-school Sally Family Festival. With musical guests: Cape Sleep, Mensenkinderen, and Rick de Gier/Ponoka. DJ Bartcore will be spinning the decks for the evening.
