Saxton Sunday Sounds:
Every third Sunday of the month Slachthuis is dedicated to Saxton Sunday Sounds – listening attentively to inspiring singer-songwriters at the invitation of Sam Saxton. Beautiful music deserves a stage and a listening ear, therefore Sam wants to create a place where the music and the artist's story are listened to with attention. The concept consists of three parts: Sam will musically open the afternoon himself and will then give the stage to an upcoming 'talent' from the region. As a finale an established artist will complete the program. Sam will host the afternoon and briefly question the other artists about their writing methods and inspirations. Extra attention will be given to the favorite album of the 'headlining artist'. Why has this record been so important? After the show the album will be played in full throughout the whole Slachthuis while enjoying a drink.
