Loma and Shearwater seem almost destined to tour together. The bands have songwriter Jonathan Meiburg and engineer/producer Dan Duszynski in their ranks; both have their roots in Austin, Texas; both are released by Sub Pop Records from Seattle. And both have a third member named Emily (Emily Lee in Shearwater, Emily Cross in Loma).
The bands make compelling music with influences from indie rock, Leonard Cohen, and Nick Drake.

But they differ in profound ways that only siblings can differ. Cross's calm and enveloping voice is the heart of Loma, whose pastoral, enchanting 2018 debut was miles away from Shearwater's extroverted Jet Plane and Oxbow, released the year before.

Since then, each group has released two more albums: Loma followed their self-titled debut album 'Don't Shy Away' (2020) and 'How Will I Live Without A Body?' (2023), while Shearwater released 'The Great Awakening' (2022) and 'The New World' (2026) this year.

Neither group, however, has played live since 2018, but is now coming together to make their 'When can I see you' tour a reality.
