London-born Oscar "SHOLTO" Robertson launched his music career in 2013, when a record deal brought him to LA. Afterward, he returned to the UK, where he developed into a versatile producer, mixer, and session drummer. With his duo SFJ, he collaborated on numerous projects and built a reputation as a creative force behind the scenes. SHOLTO has performed internationally in recent years and recently paid tribute to David Axelrod at London's Jazz Café.
His writing style is rooted in the soundtrack traditions of the 1950s to the 1970s and connects with contemporary, soulful cinematic music. His release, The Changing Tides of Dreams (2023), introduced his world of psychedelic, dreamy arrangements, infused with influences from film, classical music, jazz, and experimental composition. His music envelops you in warm colors, analog softness, grooving instrumentals, and a euphoric, nostalgic atmosphere.
