Afrogrooves returns to Cinetol with a new series of four events from July 2026 to January 2027, reviving the spirit of Sign This with fully improvised, danceable live music. Led by a conductor using the dynamic sign language Rhythm and Percussion with Signs—developed by Santiago Vázquez—the musicians create grooves, breaks, and surprises on the spot, without a setlist and without limitations. Although this system is often used for percussion, Afrogrooves applies it to a full afrobeat band, resulting in rich, layered sounds and unexpected twists that unfold right before your eyes. Each evening is completely unique and there is even room for audience participation—so if you play an instrument, feel free to join in.
