Sonido Gallo Negro is an instrumental formation from the east of Mexico City, expressing both the mystique and mystical character of the Peruvian cumbia from the sixties. Guitars, eccentric organs, analog synthesizers, and the theremin are some elements of the group's psychedelic music. A rare concept that likes to envelop their music in esoteric atmospheres that influence perception and force you to dance until you drop, accompanied by hypnotic images shown live by Dr. Alderete. Spaghetti western soundtracks and surf music also resonate in their compositions. Four studio albums, one live album, and special collaborations have made the band one of the most leading in the genre in Mexico City.
