SOYUZ is a collective from Minsk, Belarus, now based in Warsaw. Founded by Belarusian multi-instrumentalists Alex Chumak and Mikita Arlou, and joined by Polish Albert Karch (drums) and Igor Wiśniewski (guitar), the band mixes jazz, folk, pop, and rich orchestrations in the studio. On stage, SOYUZ becomes a live experience where improvisation and the individual voices of the musicians reshape the songs each time. The band broke through with the album 'Force of the Wind', named one of Bandcamp’s Best Albums of 2022 and received airplay on BBC Radio among others. Their newest album 'KROK', released on October 24, 2025, via the British indie label Mr Bongo, brings together their Eastern European roots with jazz, folk, and music from around the world. Expect folk ballads, jazzy pop, and rich string and wind arrangements, where every note counts.
