The Danish instrumental duo Svaneborg Kardyb consists of Nikolaj Svaneborg (keyboards) and Jonas Kardyb (drums). Much of their work stems from improvisation, with the music benefiting from the two musicians' different backgrounds: Svaneborg comes from jazz, Kardyb from roots music. Their fourth album, Superkilen, was released in 2024 (just before that, they played with us at the OPIA festival), an album on which the duo achieves the perfect balance between groovy and tranquil. Deceptively simple music full of subtle tension and adventurous percussion – this is Scandinavian jazz at its finest!
