The English electronic band System 7 is a pioneer in the field of psychedelic dance. Core members Steve Hillage (guitar) and Miquette Giraudy (synthesizers) have a long history in music: both were members of the prog rock band Gong in the 1970s. As System 7, they have been creating a groundbreaking blend of ambient, techno, and trance since 1989, often collaborating with Alex Paterson (the Orb) in their early days.
