Tamino is a Belgian singer-songwriter who achieved international fame in the late 2010s with his unique blend of dark, atmospheric indie rock and classic Arabic melodies. Born and raised in Belgium, with Egyptian and Lebanese roots, his sound reflects his multi-layered identity. His idiosyncratic style quickly caught the attention of major artists: Lana Del Rey took him on tour, and Radiohead bassist Colin Greenwood played on his debut album, Amir (2018).
In 2022, his second album, Sahar, was released. Now based in New York, Tamino recorded his third album, Every Dawn's a Mountain (2025), whose lead single, "Babylon," offered a preview of the oud-driven arrangements.
