The Dandy Warhols combine psych-rock, shoegaze, powerpop, synthpop, and more with the brash indifference of their pop art namesake. They are adept at both captivating musings and satirical pop. Early hits include 'Not If You Were the Last Junkie on Earth' from their 1997 major label debut, The Dandy Warhols Come Down, and 'Bohemian Like You' from Thirteen Tales from Urban Bohemia in 2001, both of which humorously mocked hipster culture, suggesting they were America's answer to Britpop. On 'ROCKMAKER' from 2024, the Dandys go all out with heavy, raw punk and metal guitar riffs reclaimed from the knuckledraggers.
