"Polka never dies!" The Dreadnoughts certainly make sure of that. These Canadians call themselves polka fundamentalists. Oh, and they've been drunk non-stop for about nineteen years. Since their birth in the back rooms of Vancouver's infamous Ivanhoe Hotel, The Dreadnoughts have been on a cider-fueled rampage across the planet.
This crazy folk-punk circus takes traditional European genres like polka, waltz, Irish jigs, klezmer, and sea shanties—and gives them a real kick up the arse. How does that sound? Like raw pub anthems with an absurdly high alcohol content that make even the biggest festival tents feel like a sticky pub.
With this potent cocktail, The Dreadnoughts unleashed wild parties at Lowlands, Zwarte Cross, and Jera, and now it's time to take over European pop venues too. Do you enjoy a bit of Dropkick Murphys, Gogol Bordello, Flogging Molly, and Ferocious Dog? Then this is your kind of party!
