American emo band The Get Up Kids can now change their name to The Get Up Adults, as the five men—along with their fans—have grown up. This was evident on their latest album, "Problems" (2019), where the band unashamedly explores themes of nostalgia and parenthood. The Get Up Kids broke through in 1999 with their second album, "Something To Write Home About," an instant emo/pop-punk classic that influenced major acts like Fall Out Boy, Jimmy Eat World, and Taking Back Sunday. With over 30 years under their belt, they remain one of the best emo bands!
