The Dutch rap duo The Opposites has been combining lyrical ingenuity with sing-along choruses on a bed of pounding beats since 2005. Hits like Broodje Bakpao, Slapeloze Nachten, and Sukkel Voor De Liefde are now part of the canon of Dutch hip-hop – we can safely say that Willem and Twan/Big2 are partly responsible for the mainstream success of this genre. On July 10, The Opposites will be performing in a (sold-out) Zuiderpark in The Hague, and because even megastars need to practice, there is this try-out show.
