The Soulful Sessions returns to Paradiso on Sunday 24 May: the event for lovers of soul, funk, disco and 90's R&B. With music from old soul legends such as James Brown, Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, Jackson 5, Chaka Khan, Earth Wind & Fire, Michael Jackson, Kool & The Gang and Marvin Gaye, but also the new generation of soul artists including Anderson Paak, Leela James, Jill Scott, Vulfpeck, Allen Stone and Bruno Mars.

At The Soulful Sessions you discover the biggest talents from the scene. Each edition the organization invites guest artists from home and abroad, who play accompanied by The Soulful Band (complete with brass section). TJ TAOTUA (New Zealand)
TJ Taotua brings pure soul to Paradiso. Originating from New Zealand and rooted in his Samoan heritage, he combines warm R&B, soul and gospel into a sound that comes straight from the heart. He shared the stage with, among others, Eric Benét, Musiq Soulchild and KC & JoJo, and was awarded multiple times with a Pacific Music Award. Expect deep grooves, powerful vocals and soul as it is meant to be.

SONNY TENNET (United Kingdom)
Sonny Tennet brings his soulful sound to The Soulful Sessions in Paradiso. The British singer-songwriter made an impression worldwide with his own, lived-in version of Lionel Richie's 'Easy' — so strong that Richie himself openly praised it. With a style that balances between soul, pop and R&B, and a voice that hits you straight in the heart, Sonny Tennet is a perfect match for an evening full of pure soul and live music.
