They Are Gutting a Body of Water is an eclectic shoegaze band from Philadelphia, which started as a solo project by Douglas Dulgarian and evolved into a strong four-man formation. Their sound is an electronic, ambient-like interpretation of shoegaze, laced with influences from club genres. With albums like "gestures been," "Destiny XL," "lucky styles," and the upcoming "Lotto," the four-man band is steadily building a groundbreaking position within the renewed shoegaze movement. Additionally, Dulgarian is active as a label manager for like-minded artists through Julia's War.
