The Danish blues rock band Thorbjørn Risager & The Black Tornado has been around for over twenty years and keeps getting better. Maybe because of the extensive playing together – the band tours about ten months a year. In January 2025 their ninth studio album House Of Sticks was released, on which Thorbjørn Risager & The Black Tornado present a fresh take on the blues, think The Black Keys meets My Baby (a relaxed J.J. Cale vibe is never far away). On the single 'Inner Light' the eight-piece band lays down a funky Sly Stone groove from here to Copenhagen and back.
