The Hungarian avant-garde prog metal band Thy Catafalque is the long-term project of mastermind and multi-instrumentalist Tamás Kátai. The musical basis is prog metal, but from there Tamás looks beyond any pigeonhole. Whether it is black metal, symphonic, electronic, avant-garde, folk or neoclassical: it all finds a place in the rich sound of Thy Catafalque. After the release of the more metal-oriented album Alföld (2023), the eclectic album XII: A gyönyörű álmok ezután jönnek followed in 2024.

Also taking the stage are The Answer Lies In The Black Void , the doom metal project of Martina Horváth (Thy Catafalque / MANSUR) and Jason Köhnen (The Lovecraft Sextet / MANSUR / Bong-Ra / The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble) and BONG-RA . This Utrecht-based project has since grown into a live three-piece and debuted in early 2025 with the album Black Noise. The new album Esoterik (2026) is coming soon!
