Tom Smith, the beloved frontman of Editors, with whom he has had great success for twenty years, comes with a solo album. Logically this is the most personal music he has made so far. On the first single 'Lights of New York City' you hear his familiar deep vocals over acoustic guitar playing. It is of a restrained beauty that is as inspiring as it is reassuring. About this single Smith himself says the following: “'Lights of New York City' pines for lost youth, a song looking back at the wide-eyed wonder held in a previous chapter of my life.” The debut album is called 'There Is Nothing in the Dark That Isn’t There in the Light' and will be released on 5 December.
