Tomatito

Tomatito is the pseudonym of the legendary Spanish flamenco guitarist José Fernández Torres. He is known as the master of flamenco nuevo: a fresh interpretation of flamenco with influences of jazz, blues and Latin American music. He became known as accompanist of singer Camarón de la Isla and later won multiple Latin Grammys for his impressive solo work. His guitar playing is characterised by technical mastery of traditional flamenco forms such as bulerías and soleá, supplemented with jazz and world music influences. The Spaniard has given several memorable concerts at TivoliVredenburg. This time he returns with new timbres and sounds.
