Most non-Austrians will primarily know turbo beer as a drinking technique. A sharp object is used to poke a hole in the beer can, and the beer shoots out of the opening, meaning it must be consumed at turbo speed. We can try it out for fun tonight when Austria's most famous punk band, TURBOBIER, comes to dB's.
Ten years of Turbobier, five albums; that's no small feat. The title of their fifth studio album is "Das Leben is ein Oaschloch" (The Life Is a Lost Life) and says it all: "If you add up your life, you'll discover in the end that there was more sadness than joy, more shit than beauty. That's why you have to seize the good moments when they're there and make life as enjoyable as possible," says frontman Marco Pogo. So, let's go! Cheers!
