V11 x Rotown presents: Gus Englehorn

Left of the Dial alumnus Gus Englehorn returns to Rotterdam and will perform on Thursday 2 April at V11! Gus specializes in lo-fi psych-pop, but likes to expand his sound with hints of ’50s classics, ’60s garage punk, ’70s glam and ’80s indie. His latest album The Hornbook, which was released in 2025, was mixed by none other than Paul Leary, guitarist of The Butthole Surfers, a band from which Gus Englehorn undoubtedly draws much inspiration.

V11 can expect tracks from his upcoming album The Broken Balladeer. An album that many big names have worked on, including sound engineers Stuart Sullivan (Sublime, Meat Puppets), Howie Weinberg (Nirvana, Beastie Boys, Smashing Pumpkins) and Mark Kramer (Daniel Johnston, Ween, Galaxie 500), who all put their stamp on the sound.
