In June 2026, Wende will play a series of shows at small pop venues throughout the Netherlands: "The Experiment." This series marks the beginning of a new journey, the lead-up to her next pop album.

After "Sterrenlopen" and "Vrijplaats," Wende is at the beginning of a new phase. She's writing new work, working with a new band, and searching for the form that goes with it. For Wende, an album and a live show don't develop one after the other, but simultaneously. Performing isn't an endpoint, but a necessary part of the creative process.

This time, Wende chooses to make that process visible. The June series is a place to explore, experiment, and feel what music needs to grow. Without predetermined frameworks, without the pressure of a finished product.

The shows will take place in small venues. Expect existing repertoire in a different form, new material still in development, and a band that's searching for common ground. Not a definitive performance, but a beginning. Up close.
