Raw, eccentric punk rock!
What's Cooking is the stage for new music and regional talent! Let yourself be surprised by new sounds and up-and-coming artists! In this edition: Chattermag and The Velcro.
CHATTERMAG
Chattermag makes eccentric punk rock with a fuck-it 80s attitude and heavy riffs . Or something like that. 6 Madmen fly through the air on a Magpie, looking down at the people on the land. Frontwoman Kate Oram doesn't sing to be liked, she tears her throat open to be heard. So watch out she doesn't bite your head off… uhh… #Girls to the front!
THE VELCRO
Emerging from the Hague underground is THE VELCRO, a band that blends surf, punk, and psychedelic fuzz into an explosive, energetic sound. Known for their raw performances full of sweat, mosh pits, and chaos, the band is building a rapidly growing reputation. With their own Velcro Fest, a finalist spot at the Nobel Award, and shows as a support act for MAD FOXES, THE VELCRO already showed they were ready for the next step. That followed in 2026, when they blew away one of the showcase stages at ESNS as the closing act and confirmed their status as an undeniable live band.
