Widowspeak and dB's share a loving relationship. On every EU tour the band has done so far (the first in November 2011), we have had the pleasure of welcoming Widowspeak to dB's. And yes, they are not skipping dB's on this new tour either.
Speaking of a loving band, the core of πͺπππ’πͺπ¦π£πππ, the couple Molly Hamilton and Robert Earl Thomas, are responsible for the band's unmistakable dreamy indie sound, in which echoes of Mazzy Star, Cowboy Junkies, Big Thief, and Chris Isaac resonate, and alongside a new album, they also made baby Peggy, but that's beside the pointβ¦
That new album, titled Roses, is coming out in June of this year and is already the seventh studio album from this magnificent band. The first two singles from that new album have already dropped and once again possess the unmistakable, melancholic, and mystical beauty we have come to expect from Widowspeak, with Molly's characteristic dreamy vocals and Robert's layered guitar parts at the center.
Just like all other releases, Roses is once again released on the quality indie label Captured Tracks, and that should tell the connoisseur enough. Moreover, live Widowspeak is just as delicate and beautiful as on the record.
For the first time in the new dB's.
We are already looking forward to it!
