Willi Carlisle is a folksinger-songwriter and poet with a love for outsiders. His music has always been a dance between absurdity, spectacle, and philosophy. On his fourth album, "Winged Victory," the artist returns to his signature sound of traditional folk and a palette of oddball characters.

Carlisle believes that life is about caring for one another and connecting everyone. Carlisle initially fell in love with the punk side of folk music after delving into American music history. After his well-received debut album, "To Tell You the Truth," followed in 2022 with "Peculiar, Missouri." The latter is also an activist folk album that explores topics such as the queer struggle, the right to drinking water, and experiencing panic attacks. With his words, Carlisle tries to show that it's time to stop thinking in boxes so that we can reach greater heights together.
