Queer club night with a fruity mix of art, music, and performance

Queerdoos is back with a new edition of XO at EKKO, and this time they have put together a carefully selected line-up of the best artists for their Pride special. The collective consisting of Daddy Knakworst, MBQT, and Maeve has made a name for itself in Utrecht and beyond by focusing on the intersections of fun, art, and beats, off the beaten path. This Pride special promises to be their biggest night yet.

The motto of this edition, "planting the seeds of a blossomed fruit ," is about the fruit in your mouth and the seeds in your hand. It is about picking sweets, fully aware that the sweet taste is the result of the hard work and sacrifice of another. It is about planting seeds, with all the love your heart desires. About coming out of the closet and crawling deep inside again. It is about the difference between candy and the real deal. About sowing the potential of a future that is not yet. About eating the forbidden fruit and deviating from the path your father figure has mapped out for you. About the knowledge that if you keep a basket that is too full for yourself, you waste its contents. About nourishing and caring. About sticky, sweet juice dripping onto your belly, while you wish you could share this pleasure with everyone. It is about all the love and energy that still needs to come out after a long day of celebrating.
