Come and enjoy an evening of improvisational theatre in Amsterdam together with other enthusiasts. Whether you want to perform yourself or prefer to just watch: everyone is welcome.
We start with a joint warm-up led by regular host Jochem Meijer . Afterwards, an Amsterdam improv group will give a short performance. (Would you like to perform with your group? Then send an email to bestuur@tvaimpro.nl .)
Next, it is time for the Amsterdam Impro Jam . Anyone who wants to play can put their name in the hat beforehand. During the jam, experienced improv players draw names from the hat one at a time. Will you be chosen? Then you will perform a short improvisation scene together with an experienced player. This way, you are never alone on stage, and participating is fun even if you have little or no experience. The audience determines the suggestions, and together you play various well-known improvisational theater games.
After about an hour, there is a short break. After that, we continue playing until 9:30 PM. The regular location is De Nieuwe Anita , where you can socialize and have drinks with other improv players afterwards.
The Amsterdam Impro Jam is organized by TVA Impro , the largest improvisational theater association in Amsterdam. You do not have to be a member to participate or come and watch.
