Hailing from South London, BINA. moves between alternative R&B, neo-soul, trip-hop and indie. She made her debut in 2019 with the EP ‘Humble Abode’ and continued to experiment with her sound, which managed to attract a wide audience with the EP ‘Chaos Is Her Name’ (2024). On her latest EP ‘Soft Rage’, due out in November, she shifts decisively towards post-punk and indie rock. These musical contrasts sit well with the themes she sings about: pent-up anger, social pressure and the expectation to be constantly understanding. At times she sounds tender and subdued, but more often than not she lets loose. Following a European tour as support for Little Simz, BINA. returns to Amsterdam for her own headline show.
