The American guitar band Buffalo Tom broke through in 1992 with their third album, Let Me Come Over, of which the song Taillights Fade in particular became a fan and festival favorite. Buffalo Tom was formed in 1986 and initially received help from musical friend J. Mascis of Dinosaur Jr. – he can even be heard on their first album. Throughout the nineties, the trio remained in the alternative mainstream, thanks to records like Big Red Letter Day (1993) and Sleepy Eyed (1995). After a long hiatus, Buffalo Tom returned in 2007, and their tenth album, Jump Rope, was released in 2024. After 40 years, still with the original lineup!
