With his relaxed acoustic playing, Chico Pinheiro has been a sought-after guitarist since the age of fourteen, first in his home country Brazil and later with major international names such as Herbie Hancock and Brad Mehldau. With his debut album Meia Noite Meio Dia from 2002, Chico Pinheiro immediately landed in the year-end lists of major Brazilian newspapers. Many honorable mentions followed, including in the Downbeat Critics Polls. His recent album City of Dreams was nominated for a Grammy. This year, the instrumental duo album Two Brothers with colleague Romero Lubambo was released, featuring songs by Tom Jobim, Stevie Wonder, and Billie Eilish.
